We’re all tired of long goodbyes

Help us say hello to breakthroughs

We established the Goizueta Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) in 2005 to join other NIH-designated research institutions in accelerating breakthroughs in early diagnoses for Alzheimer's and related diseases. We're at the forefront of discovery, investigating what causes cognitive impairment and how best to slow its progression.

As advancements for earlier Alzheimer's diagnoses emerge, our world-renowned team applies these innovations to provide comprehensive care for Alzheimer's patients and their families. That includes access to clinical trials, which test the latest therapies and treatments. It also involves lifestyle interventions like those we're studying through the Charlie and Harriet Shaffer Cognitive Empowerment Program.

A key component of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center's mission is educating physicians, caregivers and the public. Growing evidence suggests that certain communities are disproportionately inclined toward cognitive decline.

That's why we formed the Men's Health Program and why we actively recruit participants from a variety of backgrounds to take part in our studies.
